Shadows on the Plains

Shadows on the Plains is a historical archive for Eastern Colorado, specifically Kit Carson County. The process is a collaborative effort with the Burlington Library in charge of maintaining and adding to the website. Shadows on the Plains seeks to keep our history alive by collecting 100 years of obituaries from Old Town Museum, generational stories and pictures from the History of Kit Carson County written by Janice Salmons, Marlyn Hasart, and Dorothy Smith, and more resources in the future. If you should have any questions, please contact the Burlington Public Library. The Burlington Library is in the process of transferring the Shadows on the Plains collection to our Past Perfect Collection.
