Description
The Department initiated this study to evaluate baseline rates for specific adult preventive services. The objective of this focused study was to provide a baseline assessment of screening rates for the disabled population in the year July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002 for cervical cancer screening breast cancer screening prostate cancer screening and disabled adults' access to preventive health services.

CDHCPF wants to eliminate health disparities among persons with disabilities and to ensure that Medicaid members have access to preventive health care.

Description
Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) is a specific health care program within Medicaid for persons from birth through 20 years of age. EPSDT provides a comprehensive child health program to help ensure that health problems are identified, diagnosed, and treated early, before they become more complex and before their treatment becomes more costly.

Description
Postpartum depression is identified as an issue of significance in the Medicaid population. The Department and HSAG developed a pilot, provider-based intervention designed to identify strategies to increase the number of Medicaid providers who administer postpartum depression screenings and, as applicable, to provide treatment referrals to the appropriate regional behavioral health organizations (BHOs) or community mental health centers (CMHCs).

In fiscal year (FY) 2010-2011, the State of Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (the Department) contracted with Health Services Advisory Group, Inc.
